Bounce House Rentals in New Orleans
The birthday party standard. Simple to book, and simple to get wrong on gate width.
A bounce house is the easiest thing we rent and the one most often blocked by a side gate. New Orleans yards are narrow, and half the delivery problems in this city come down to a gate nobody measured.
You need 36 inches of gate clearance, a flat area with room on all sides, and a dedicated 20 amp outlet within 100 feet. Measure the gate before you book and everything else is straightforward.
Which one to pick
- Standard bounce house. Open jumping area, best throughput per dollar, fits most yards. The default for a birthday party.
- Themed inflatables. Same footprint, character or theme artwork. Worth it when the party has a theme.
- Kiddie bounces. Smaller and lower, built for toddlers and preschoolers. Right choice if everyone is under about five.
- Combo units. Bounce plus a slide in one footprint — better value if your yard only fits one thing. See combos.
Measuring your New Orleans yard
Shotgun houses, doubles and camelbacks in this city often have a single narrow side gate as the only way to the back yard. Before you book, check:
- Gate width: 36 inches for a bounce house, 42 for a bigger game. We roll units in on a dolly.
- The path: not just the gate — A/C units, meters, garbage cans and low gutters all narrow the route.
- The setup area: flat, with a few feet of clearance on every side.
- Overhead: power lines, tree limbs, second-floor galleries.
Power
Each blower needs a dedicated 20 amp circuit within 100 feet, with nothing else running on that breaker. Older New Orleans wiring trips easily when a blower shares a circuit with a fridge or a window unit. If power drops and the unit deflates, we can't refund it — so it's worth checking which outlet is on which breaker before the day.
The rules everyone breaks
- One adult monitor per unit, the whole time.
- Socks on, shoes off. No glasses, jewelry or anything sharp in pockets.
- 200 lb per rider. Ages 3 and up.
- No food, drinks, gum or candy inside.
- No silly string, confetti or face paint — these permanently stain the vinyl and we do charge for it.
- Similar sizes together. No flips, no climbing the walls or netting.
Parks in Orleans Parish
City Park prohibits bounce houses entirely. Audubon Park allows them with a $75 permit for gatherings of 25 or more. Any park setup needs a generator from us at one per inflatable, a $35 park fee, and a certificate of insurance at 4.5%. City Park rule · Audubon guide.

Yes, sandbagged instead of staked. Driveways and patios work fine.
