Renting for a Jefferson Parish park? Read this first.

Bounce World is #2 of only ten companies on the Jefferson Parish Recreation Department approved vendor list for spacewalk and party play equipment. Only companies on that list may set up in JPRD parks. The parish rules are firm:

A shelter rental is required — no shelter, no inflatable.
You arrange a generator — the parks supply no electricity. One per inflatable.
Dry units only — water play equipment is prohibited in JPRD parks.
$1,000,000 per occurrence insurance with JPRD as certificate holder.
Vendor receipt to JPRD one week before the event.
Police detail for events after 7pm or serving alcohol.

M.L. King Playground in Harvey is a Jefferson Parish Recreation site, so the JPRD rules above apply there — shelter rental, your own generator, dry units only.

What your site needs

Gate width — 36 inches minimum for a bounce house, 42 for a bigger game. Measure the narrowest point of the whole path, not just the gate.
Power — a dedicated 20 amp circuit for each blower, within 100 feet, nothing else on that breaker. We use our own cords.
Water — a working garden hose within 50 feet for any wet unit. Splitters available.
Surface — grass is staked, concrete and blacktop are sandbagged, indoors is ballasted. Turf and concrete carry a $25 fee.
Overhead — clear of trees, branches, balconies and power lines.

When to book

October — school and church fall festivals. Our busiest month. Book by August.
Late May — field days and graduations. Book by March.
February to May — crawfish boils and spring events. Book by January.
Carnival season — book before Christmas; street closures decide what we can reach.
Most other dates — a few weeks is usually enough.

Do you deliver to Harvey?

Yes. Harvey is inside our regular service area and we run Jefferson Parish routes every week. Call (504) 467-9424 with your date and address and we will confirm the delivery window.

What does it cost to rent in Harvey?

The rental depends on the unit, the day and the location. On top of it, expect a $35 park location fee if you are in a park, $25 for turf or concrete setups, and an additional insured certificate at 4.5% of the order for parks, commercial and school locations. Minimum order amounts apply depending on availability.

Can I put an inflatable in a park in Harvey?

It depends entirely on the park, and some prohibit them outright. M.L. King Playground in Harvey is a Jefferson Parish Recreation site, so the JPRD rules above apply there — shelter rental, your own generator, dry units only.

How long do I get the unit for?

All day. Pickup is either at your party end time or the next morning depending on our route, and we text to confirm. You do not need to be home for pickup — just leave gate access and the blower plugged in.

What if the weather turns?

Wind at 20 mph or higher, or lightning, means everyone exits and the blower gets unplugged until it passes. Light rain is fine on a wet unit. Cancel at least two days out and what you have paid becomes a raincheck, valid three months and usable once.
