Carnival is the hardest season of the year to deliver in, and the one people book latest. Street closures, barricades and parade schedules limit how many setups we can physically reach in a day.
If your date falls in Carnival season, get on the calendar before Christmas. Tell us your address early so we can check access against the parade schedule.

What to rent, by event
- Krewe dens and adult parties. Axe throw simulator, velcro wall, knockerballs, archery tag. Competition beats bouncing for a grown crowd, and all of these run indoors with enough floor area.
- Route parties with families. One standard bounce house keeps kids contained and off the neutral ground while adults watch the parade.
- School king cake parties. Bounce houses, combo units and carnival games. Almost always indoor in February, so ceiling height is the constraint.
- Ball season and formal events. Mini golf and carnival games work in a ballroom with people in formal clothes. Skip anything requiring shoes off.
Access is the whole problem
Everything else about a Carnival booking is normal. What is not normal is getting a truck to your address. Barricades go up early, routes close for hours, and parking disappears. Give us your address and date as far ahead as you can and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you, rather than finding out on the day.
The practical stuff
- Power: a dedicated 20 amp circuit per blower within 100 feet, or a generator from us.
- Surface: grass staked, concrete and neutral ground sandbagged, indoors ballasted.
- Access: 36 inches of clearance for a bounce house, 42 for a bigger game — plus a route for the truck.
- Dry only. February is too cold for wet units and dunk tanks in this city.
- Insurance: certificate at 4.5% of the order for commercial venues, schools and parks.
Common questions
Can you deliver on a parade route during Mardi Gras?
Street closures, barricades and crowds make parade-route delivery genuinely difficult, and it depends entirely on your address and the parade schedule that day. Call us early with your address and date so we can look at access before you commit. Setups off the route are far easier to schedule.
When should I book a Mardi Gras rental?
Before Christmas for a Carnival season date. The season is short, the whole city wants the same weekends, and street closures limit how many deliveries we can physically complete in a day.
What works for a krewe den party?
Adult-oriented competition units: an axe throw simulator, velcro wall, knockerballs or archery tag. Dens are usually indoor or warehouse spaces, so ceiling height decides what fits and everything is ballasted rather than staked.
What about a school king cake party?
Standard bounce houses, combo units and carnival games work well for elementary king cake parties and school Carnival celebrations. Most are indoor or gym events in February, so tell us the space and we will only quote what fits.
Is it too cold for a bounce house at Mardi Gras?
Usually not. February in New Orleans is variable but dry units run fine in cool weather. Skip anything wet, including dunk tanks, until spring.
