Common questions about water slide rentalsWhat does a water slide need at my house?A working garden hose within 50 feet of where the unit will sit, plus a dedicated 20 amp circuit within 100 feet for the blower. Some wet units need more than one hose hookup — we rent splitters if you are short. Can a water slide be set up on concrete or indoors?Not if it has a pool. Any of our water slides listed with a pool must go on grass or turf only — never concrete, blacktop or indoors, because the unit holds water and has to be staked into ground. Turf setups carry a $25 fee. If your only space is hard surface or the event is indoors, a dry slide is the answer. Will a water slide tear up my yard?A wet unit on grass creates mud. That is unavoidable, so choose the spot with it in mind — off to the side rather than the middle of the lawn, and away from anything you do not want soaked. Can I have a water slide in a park?Usually not. Jefferson Parish Recreation prohibits water play equipment in its parks outright — dry units only. New Orleans City Park prohibits bounce houses, water slides and water-play structures entirely. Audubon Park allows equipment with a permit. See our JPRD park rules before you plan a park party. Is light rain a problem?No. Light rain is fine on a wet unit. What stops a rental is wind at 20 mph or higher, or lightning — everyone exits immediately and the blower is unplugged. Once it passes, plug back in and it re-inflates in a couple of minutes. Single lane or double lane?Double lane lets two riders race, which keeps a line moving at a bigger party. Single lane takes less yard. Both need the same hose and power setup — tell us your yard dimensions and we will tell you what fits. What are the rider rules on a water slide?Ages 3 and up, 200 lb weight limit per rider, one rider per lane at a time, and one adult supervising for the entire time the unit is in use.
